Posterous is not friendly to people who don't use Adobe Flash

I use Linux and I prefer not to use Adobe Flash (because it often crashes my browser). Using Posterous, I tried to "Post via Web" with the intention to include a picture to the post. Lo and behold, I get the message that Flash Player is required to upload media.

So I had to fire up my email to attach a picture so I could post this rant.

Now I understand that Adobe Flash is sort of the go to tech for web multimedia, but most sites I use have a fallback way of uploading for people who may not have Flash installed.

I don't know if Twitter will fix this eventually. Maybe tumblogging is better...

This is one amusing cover of Gotye's "Somebody that I used to know"

I was browsing the usual channels in YouTube of indie artists who do cover songs to see if there was anything new. The usual rounds would include Tyler Ward, then Alex Goot, and then some girls: Tiffany Alvord, Megan Nicole and Alex G to name a few.

Sure enough, there were a few new ones (and some old ones I missed listening to) but one song suddenly popped up in my head. Who has done a cover of Gotye's "Somebody that I used to know" song? A quick search in YouTube, and I get this as the first hit:

Amusing, and amazing! It's the first unique, one of a kind and most creative cover of a song I've seen on YouTube.

Now I think this song is my song of the month.

* Twinkle, twinkle little star. How I wonder what you are. * ~ That part of the song in the intro. Hehe.

Work in the PH? Most likely you're...

This is one show, although it has been cancelled, that I feel is a must watch. Even more so if you work in the IT or Call Center business in the PH or other countries where work is Outsourced.

It's about a young, up and coming manager from the U. S. of A. who is sent to India to manage the call center for the novelties they sell. While in doing so, he is confronted with a myriad of new experiences most especially the culture.

I daresay that this may be offensive to some people but if you do decide to watch this, keep an open mind. I'm sure that the creators didn't mean for it to be offensive. It's a comedy, have a good laugh!

I feel that the characters bring the story to life, and would say that the casting was done wonderfully; each character was rightly picked for the role they play. Keep an eye on Gupta and you would probably agree.

I haven't seen all the episodes as of this writing but I feel really bad that it was cancelled. The show, again IMHO, had potential.

I don't know what I'm doing but I do it anyway

I have almost forgotten about this Space (pun intended) and I would have, had I not been cleaning out my GMail account. It's been close to a year since I posted here. I intended this Space (again, pun intended) to be a repo for my 1-Photo-a-day pet project but I realized that I cannot cope with such ambition given the limited creativity one can cram into a typical day of an outsourced workforce peon. And as I look back the posts I have made, I can see that I was also forcing things just so I can post an entry per day.

I don't know how long Posterous will remain standing as it has been acquired by Twitter (read: TweetDeck) so I will just post as often as I can. No promises though.
